The Bond Between Pet and Owner
From the day a new pet enters a home, they are nurtured, loved, and cared for like no other. Many agree that getting a new puppy is like having a baby of their own. It becomes the center of the universe and owners do everything in their power to make sure that little pup lives his/her best life. Owners buy the highest quality foods, toys, beds, etc. Dogs are known to even have birthday parties, receive gifts, and get a seat at the table. Many families consider dogs to be children, and certainly treat them as such. They make messes, get scolded, bathed, driven around, but most importantly loved, because they are a part of the family. As they grow and become more familiar with their family, they become companions and know their owners inside and out. They are there to console in times of sadness and ready to play in times of joy. They attend family gatherings and even make an appearance on holiday cards. As dogs age, they become wiser and by the time they grow up, we’ve learned more from them than we’d ever expect. They teach us how to treat others, how to forgive, and how to love. The bond that is created lasts a lifetime. To us, our pets are only a part of our life, but to them, we are their whole life.
